The Fold Legal Promotes Julie Hartley to Senior Associate

The Fold Legal is delighted to announce effective 1 July 2022, Julie Hartley will be promoted to Senior Associate.
Julie joined The Fold in early 2019, having previously worked at a commercial firm where she specialised in advising self-managed super funds. She was a highly regarded practitioner in this area and wrote a regular column in the Australian Financial Review on issues affecting SMSFs.
At the Fold, Julie advises clients on niche areas such as discretionary mutuals and aggregate deductible funds, assists underwriting and broking businesses navigate the pitfalls of the AFS licensing process, advises insurance businesses negotiating commercial agreements, and provides regulatory advice on policy wordings and disclosure documents.
In the post-Royal Commission era, Julie has advised clients and provided thought leadership on the design and distribution obligations, the deferred sales model for add-on insurance and the regulation of claims handling services. In 2020, she was shortlisted at the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards for Financial Services.
