Good things come in small packages, and Sónia certainly packs plenty of smarts and tenacity into her petite frame. Starting her career in stockbroking, Sónia also spent many years on the frontline as a financial planner. While she struggled to make sense of the cumbersome compliance requirements of her role, she knew that there must be an easier way.

As head of our licensing department, our clients now benefit from Sónia’s no-nonsense approach to compliance. Whether you’re applying for a licence, improving your advice process, or preparing for an ASIC investigation, she’s got your back. Sónia applies her unique blend of practical experience and legal training (she’s currently studying law) to each transaction.

Sónia is often the first point of call for new customers, helping them establish all the licensing and compliance aspects of their business. A team player, she also enjoys drafting contracts and disclosure documents and advising clients on our contract and compliance helplines.

Our resident Carrie Bradshaw, Sónia has a shoe for every occasion and never parts with any of her prized heels - platforms are coming back in style after all. Her well-worn pair of walking shoes will come in handy when she completes the 60km coast trek this year.
